Newark Baptist Church is a community of people who love God and are seeking to worship Him with their whole lives. You can read more about us on the church life pages.

Our main Praise, Worship and Teaching meeting is held on Sundays at 10:30 am at our church building which is located in the heart of Newark town centre. You are warmly invited to join us at this meeting - details of all our meetings can be found on the calendar pages and in the church life pages

If you have recently moved to Newark because you are starting college or a new job, welcome to our town! We hope you settle in quickly. You are very welcome to come along to our Sunday service - church is a great place to get to know new people!

A thought from a recent newsletter:

During Martin Amery's visit, he mentioned re-living the moment when we are first saved. I guess like most of you, I've had some horrid moments and experiences in my life. I've also had some wonderful ones too. Like many of you, if asked, I would say the best time in my life was when I met Jesus and asked Him into my life.

We often say, as Martin mentioned, "I wish I felt like I did when I was first saved. I was on fire for Jesus all the time." We all have our ups and downs, good moments, bad ones and ones that are somewhere in between. If when we first knew Jesus was the most wonderful time for us, it's because we'd just been saved! We can't get saved twice!

So be thankful for each new day that you live, in the security of knowing that salvation. And if you don't have that peace that come from knowing Jesus - that "blessed assurance, Jesus is mine" - speak to God about it. Ask Jesus to come into your heart, and start living life in all it's fulness as He has promised!
